Great News!!

So anyone who reads ths blog probably already knows that I entered in a nail art contest on YouTube a little while. And if you are new to my blog I posted the video in my blog from July 30, 2011. Also you can visit my YouTube channel. It is in my description, my channel name on there is xPrincessAmanda.

Well the results are in and I found out that I won!! I really had no idea that I would! it was my first ever entry in a nail art contest and there were so really awesome designs. Anyways, I am so excited.

I can Officially Make GOOD Nail Tutorials!!

SOOOO I have an Evo Shift, it is the only electronic in my possession right now that can record video, the problem is that the video file type is not compatible with Final Cut, which is the editing software that I use.

SO! Last night i downloaded some kind of conversion software and I tested it out on a little video that i took of my boyfriend driving a Back-Ho and it worked!!

RIGHT NOW I am shooting my first (good quality) Nail Tutorial!! I am literally writing this as I let the nail dry between coats! :D I am so excited!

(hopefully I get some followers on my blog soon) ;P haha

Hey, to anyone who is reading this, I just posted a new video on my YouTube channel, it is just a slideshow of my nail art that is up on this blog as well. I'm hopefully getting a new camera to record with so that I can make these designs into TUTORIALS!! YAY!! =D 

My first successful Water Marbling Nail Art

I've tried to do water marbled nail art before but it just never come out well. I think I was just not using the right nail polish.
For this nail I used China Glaze nail polish. The colors are:
(purple) #256 Evening  Seduction
(blue) #553 Sexy in the City and
(green) #719 Entourage. 
I almost can't believe it finally worked so well!!

My Nail Art

Sooo.. I do a lot of nail art, and I've been looking for a good way to share it. I'm still not very sure how this site works but whatev. i'm just gonna start posting stuff and see what happens... haha here goes..

In This Blog I want to share with you some of my nail art. Hopefully over time I will just keep posting and posting and over time this blog will show a decent time span of my work, since this IS still the beginning.

This is the first nail art design I ever used. Now i say "used" instead of "made" because I did not create this design myself. I was watching nail art tutorials on YouTube when I came across this one by IHaveACupcake. Her Youtube channel is HERE and the video for this design is HERE. Before I tried this, I painted my nails a LOT but I had only ever simply painted each nail one color. Ever since I started watching nail art tutorials, I cant stop!

Now, I don't want to put up a BUNCH of different posts right now, so I will just put up a few photos of my favorite designs that I have done myself in order from oldest, to newest (keeping in mind that "oldest" will still only be a few weeks old)

I did these Rainbow Tiger/Zebra stripe nails a few weeks ago

I LOVE these!! I did this on my friend Amanda's Nails right after the Bruins won the championship, she went to the parade with these nails and got soooooo many compliments!! (these are all handpainted!! ^.^) I am so proud of them!

I Sculpted this flower out of acrylic. I know the rest of the nail is bumpy and uneven and the gems look silly, but I was only focused on the flower. the rest was just goofing off. I wanted to try something I saw on youtube.

Another idea inspired by YouTube. I love this one so much! Excuse the white at the bottom, I was holding it there because I didn't expect to actually do a good job and be putting it online. ^.~ haha

This is one of my most recent. It's an acrylic tip with gold and silver glitter, small balls and a gem. 

Now, Let my tell you! PINK is my favorite color!! So this is my most recent AND favorite design.
